Food, entertainment, education, fun all in downtown Palisade!

The festival centers downtown at 3rd and Main Streets, in the Town Plaza and at participating businesses.

The Children’s Nature Center will be hosting its 1st Annual  ”Zoo’ Bee’lievers” 5K Run/Walk Race. The Race begins at 10 Am and Awards will be given at 11:30 in the plaza.

Entertainment on the Plaza
Festivities will kick off at 11:00 am and will wrap up at 4:00 pm. Join us for educational presentations, street vendors and entertainment including live music on the plaza.

11:00 am Spelling Bee
Location: Town Plaza
A fun competition for local school children. Children are encouraged to dress up like bees and take part in the costume contest at 11:45 am. Winners will be given "bee-utiful" prizes.

12:30 pm The Mesa County Library will treat pint-sized patrons to a special Story Hour at the 
Palisade Branch on Third Street.

1:00 pm "Tour of the Hive" with Dr. Gary McCallister
Location: Palisade Library Branch Courtyard
Dr. McCallister, Professor of Biology at Colorado Mesa University will speak about the inner workings of a bee hive. Great, educational fun for kids and adults alike.

2:00 pm "Good Bugs" with Dan Bean, Director of the Palisade Insectory
Location: Palisade Library Branch Courtyard
Learn about - and meet some - "good bugs" that help our environment and benefit the food chain.

3:00 pm “Why I Am A Beekeeper and Why You Should Be Too” with Dr. Gary McCallister
Location: Palisade Library Branch Courtyard

Meadery of the Rockies
Located at 3701 G Road, Palisade
Tour the Meadery and learn how "honey wine" is made. Samples and bottles for purchase will be available after each tour.
Meadery tours will take place on the hour between noon and 3:00 pm. Catch the "Bee Bus" for a free ride to and from the Meadery.

Bee Bus Tours
The Bee Bus will stop at the Palisade Community Center for the Palisade Art Lovers Society Show, Meadery of the Rockies, and the Wine Country Inn.  Hop aboard for a Bee Line around Palisade!

The bus will depart from Town Plaza on every hour and half hour beginning at noon.

Special lodging rates are available at the Wine Country Inn in beautiful Palisade, Colorado.
